Hours spent, progress gained.
With the help of our beautiful assistant, we managed to get a ton of work knocked out Saturday on the Stinker.
Lauren is sanding the spokes while Jack uses the Dremmel tool on the triple tree.

Good work Jack!
Have a drink!
Matt ground off the fork lock and I cleaned it up a bit.
Hey you two... (his face says it all!)
And finally painted and drying
Lauren is proving to be a great garage helper. Her specialty is tires.
Damn...a tube puncture!
Off to the store again in the Triumph for some patches.
Once remounted, it was time to paint the rims.
And drying. Now we need to clean up the spokes a bit but I'm loving the look!
Got some new Dremmel bits and polished the carb.
Matt started grinding down the edges of the fins.
After snadlasting the triple trees and brake hub, I polished them up a bit. Looking good!
More to come on Sunday.

Shinko 705
Transported the new tires over in the Triumph. I should have known they wouldn't fit in the trunk...
Wet Paint. Do Not Touch!
Beard got down with some skillful painting while I sanded and continued cleaning. The cylinder, head and side cases are all some form of black (satin or matte).
"Is it bad to have Bondo in a wound?" "Only if you sand it first!"
So...getting down to business this week in the garage has led...somewhere. Not as far along as we'd like but getting there slowly but surely.
We use this for wounds:
The frame received some bondo on the spots where odds and ends were ground off.
Then sanded.
The crack in the stator cover was JB welded and subsequently covered in many coats of Bondo to get rid of the Honda logo.
I spent a good chunk of Thursday night sanding the frame and polishing it in preparation for painting.
After preparing the tank, the first couple coats of satin clear were applied in our "paint booth" ha!
Meanwhile, the engine case lower has been cleaned and needs some polishing.
Unfortunately the dubious gasket set we bought did not have an exact match for the cylinder and head. Bummer.

The Garage Beckons...
So back to the garage it will be for the next few weeks. Shinko 705s, tubes, bars and some other stuff ordered and should be here April 9. Last night saw the completion of the gas tank, rear tire removal, sanding the frame where bits were ground off earlier and cleaning the engine case side covers coated in sand.
Tonight may bring a top end rebuild and some wheel polishing. Things are moving right along.
