"Is it bad to have Bondo in a wound?" "Only if you sand it first!"

So...getting down to business this week in the garage has led...somewhere.  Not as far along as we'd like but getting there slowly but surely.

We use this for wounds:

The frame received some bondo on the spots where odds and ends were ground off.

Then sanded.

The crack in the stator cover was JB welded and subsequently covered in many coats of Bondo to get rid of the Honda logo.

I spent a good chunk of Thursday night sanding the frame and polishing it in preparation for painting.

After preparing the tank, the first couple coats of satin clear were applied in our "paint booth" ha!

Meanwhile, the engine case lower has been cleaned and needs some polishing.

Unfortunately the dubious gasket set we bought did not have an exact match for the cylinder and head.  Bummer.
